Welcome!
I’m Heather, and I’m thrilled you’re here. I'm the founder of Kaleidoscope Counseling Group. To me, mental health is a lot like a kaleidoscope—colorful, complex, ever-changing. Just as each twist reveals a new, beautiful pattern, your story is filled with layers waiting to be explored. No two patterns are the same, and that’s the beauty of this work: it’s personal, dynamic, and always evolving.
Before I became a therapist, I spent over 10 years as a semi-truck driver. That chapter of my life taught me resilience, solitude, and how to follow my own inner compass. I’ve seen the country mile by mile—and I’ve also known what it feels like to be emotionally lost, searching for direction, identity, and belonging.
I’m an adult with ADHD. I’m also a mom of two amazing, neurodivergent adults. Parenting, growing, and unlearning alongside them has shaped who I am—both personally and professionally. I was raised in a military family, which meant constant transitions and adapting to change. For a long time, I wrestled with the question, “Who am I, really?” I’ve lived through chaos, self-doubt, insecurity, depression, and anxiety—and I know how overwhelming it can be. But I also know that healing is possible, and you don’t have to figure it all out alone. Therapy helped me begin to answer that. And now, it’s my privilege to help others do the same.
My Approach to Therapy
Neurodiversity—especially ADHD and high-functioning Autism—is the heart of my practice.
Do you think you might have ADHD? You're not alone. Many adults are overlooked, misdiagnosed, or only begin to explore the possibility after one of their children receives a diagnosis. Suddenly, so much about their own life starts to make sense. What a relief it can be to finally have an explanation for years of struggle.
If you're wondering whether ADHD might be part of your story, I invite you to reach out. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, and—if ADHD is the missing piece—we’ll find practical strategies to bring more clarity, structure, and calm to your life.
By the time most adults are diagnosed, they’ve already developed a set of coping strategies—some helpful, some harmful. My focus lies at the intersection of ADHD, Autism, and trauma, where I help individuals make sense of their neurodivergent experiences and move toward healing and self-acceptance. I’m especially passionate about helping newly diagnosed adults/parents with ADHD—those who feel like they’re holding it all together while quietly unraveling inside.
You are safe here. I get it.
You're not broken. You're not lazy. You're not “too much.”
You have ADHD—and I can help.
I remind myself of that truth often. Because even as a therapist, I’m still human. I’ve lived a full life. I understand what it means to start over, to change directions, and to grow through it all.
Who I Work With & How
I work with individuals ages 13 and up. My approach is flexible and integrative—I draw from a wide range of evidence-based modalities, including:
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Gestalt Therapy
Solution-Focused Therapy
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Narrative Therapy
Psychoeducation
I’ve got the toolkit—we’ll find what works best for you.
Your healing matters. Your story matters. Your growth matters.
It’s an honor to walk alongside you on your journey. You’re the expert on your life, and meaningful change starts with understanding yourself—not with trying to fit someone else’s mold.
Starting therapy takes courage. Know this:
You are not alone. I’m here when you’re ready.
